33 Contemporary Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Sergio Gomez titled 41 Winters. This exhibition features a new series of works inspired by Charlotte Brontë’s poem “Winter Stores”. The painting series reflects on the season of Winter as a metaphor for life’s own winter cycles. Referring to the artist’s own age, 41 Winters departs from Sergio’s large figurative works and delves in an intimate exploration of abstract forms, textures, words, and layering of materials. Each of the 12″x12″ works in the series incorporates a text selection from Brontë’s Winter poem.
